The Program
Our residential and day programming enables youth to learn skills
necessary to succeed as adults. By collaborating with a
number of agencies substance abuse, mental health, education, vocational
and life skills are available on-site.
Programs include:
- Residential and Day Program assessments in order to appropriately
place adolescents according to need
- Case management from assessment through management and aftercare
- Life skills training including independent living, money management,
peer socialization, consumer and problem solving skills, health
and sex education
- Enhancement of emotional and behavioral skills,
including self-esteem, anger management and impulse control
- Drug and Alcohol assessment counseling and referrals (collaboration
with Bridge Counseling Associates for on-site Level II services)
- Employment training, interview skills and job placement for
youth (Collaboration with Workforce Investment Act)
- Mentoring Program in collaboration with UNR Cooperative Extension,
State of Nevada and Clark County Family Services
- Recreational Programs including basketball, weightlifting
and physical conditioning (Collaboration sites include Boys and
Girls Clubs, Cambridge Center and a variety of community sites.)
- Utilization of <handsonbanking.com> (Collaboration with
Wells Fargo)
- Specialized workshops to develop self confidence and self
esteem (Collaboration with Cirque du Soleil and City of Las Vegas)
- Specialized workshops to develop awareness of vocational opportunities
(Collaboration with Women of Diversity)
- Guest speaker presentations on a variety of life skills, opportunities
and resources in the community
